Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has herself about her experience of being raised in a "white bubble" and how this revelation has affected the way she raises her multiracial adopted children. In an interview, actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her looks didn't bother her, however, after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of the stark differences their lives were. "I inquired of my sister, Meg, if she had been treated in one manner while going out with us parents, and another way in the time she was alone without them. Meg replied: "Oh Sure, I've witnessed the whole thing and I've been there all the time! This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to Parents. She confessed that she was mad and felt the need to use this anger to support her children. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year old girl that adopted in the year 2012.
