One baby was strapped on my back while another crawled around in the playpen. I stayed up all night days for months sanding and taking wallpaper off, all with one child. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but wasn't quite completed. This was going take money, effort, and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while going to estate sales in order to help ensure that my spending was under control. Our weekly routine which consisted of spending the week from Thursday through Saturday walking around sale houses and garages, shopping for new and used objects. I then spent the remainder of the week sanding and painting the driveway. The furniture I found looked like... that's the moment my love for restoring furniture began. Even though the house had been furnished, I could not quit. The local market had space for me to market my items. Eventually, I had too lots of pieces to keep in the room available. Then I began hosting open houses at my house that saw more than 1 000 visitors came through on one weekend, and buy anything they saw on the first floor. My venture Growing Days began here. My company was flourishing, but my family was growing too. In a way, I was able to find the perfect balance between being a mum and launching my business. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora was our fourth baby. Although I was happy about the direction my company went, I was feeling like I needed to take a little break. I took a pause from creating vintage furniture and slowed down my pace in order to stay at home and raise the children. The time was right. After a while, after that, the phone began to call. People contacted me asking to assist them in decorating their homes and interiors. The majority of them had been to my home during open houses that were held for furniture. After that, I gradually took on more clients, in my own way. In the end, I had many clients, and had an enterprise of renovations to homes. There is a good chance that I'd have laughed had I had been told that the company was to become the basis for an upcoming tv program that airs on the DIY Network. In fact, I do laugh when I think about the idea.
