She boycotted school and made an announcement that read "School Strike For Climate and calmly was seated outside of the Swedish Parliament. Thunberg believed that this was needed to gain political attention and convince them to take action to stop the global warming. Swedish media reported Thunbergs protests and pushed the story. Students from all over all over the world joined her #FridaysforFuture-inspired strike. They skipped the school day on Friday to protest against the effects of climate changes. Climate activists from across the globe came together for the inaugural Global Strike for Climate. It was hugely successful; over 1.6million participants from more than 125 countries joined.

Nia Gwendolyn (born Virenia Peeples) is a famous American performer and actress.
