Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14 years old. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18 years old, Ladd had her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were defeated within the first five minutes. Then, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia dominated Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put the mark of a loss on Aspen's record for amateur. Ladd won her next fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her professional career in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in first round by TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move into the Bantamweight division after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to defeat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as an "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy through TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her, winning the TKO during the second round. She remained dominant, and won another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. The winner also got the reward for her performance on the evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first match she's had in a major role. Both the fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters receiving their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
