Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for the Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, an Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci aged six. At first, she competed in the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international meet in an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she won named the all-around Junior Champion. She won four gold and one silver in her debut competition as a senior that took place in 1975. This was the first time she participated as a senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she started skating figure along with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the entertainment business during her teenage years. As a young girl, she began performing as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice by actors.
